So cool - or not so cool

Do you know someone who is 'cool'? Are you 'cool'? How 'cool'? Think of some adverbs other than 'so' to describe your 'cool' person.

Adverbs provide us with a lot of shades of meaning and intensity in our language; adverbs are often used as intensifiers. Poor 'so' looks rather dismal as an intensifier when we realise just how many other more powerful adverbs exist. It is easy to look up synonyms for better adverbs and intensifiers (than so, very, really).

After you have thought of a few adverbs, click to see whether your word is on this list...or maybe it's too cool?
